Very good shout, never seen another ZX 16v since I sold mine.

Another car i'd have is the 205's older brother, the 309 GTI as they can be had for pennies now and handle better than the 205 due to the wider track.

It's not on the list but why not a 309 GTi? Wider track than the 205, same lumps and many people argue they handle better. It's a bit rarer as well nowadays!

What would an ax with a conversion benifit over a saxo? both stripped there wouldnt be much weight differnce I wouldnt have thought

An AX is much lighter than a Saxo. Much like the XSi, but lighter still And my old XSi 16v would easily keep up with my XE til silly speeds and would utterly rip the pish out of it round bends.

AX is a fair bit lighter if both are stripped out, that supercharged AX for example was far quicker than the Saxo that the engine is in now.

For 2K? You're having a laugh? There are much faster cars than that for £2k, and any less than that on a 5 will have a bucket

You didn't 'get' the post then? The 1/4 of a lap reference was in relation to how quickly it would blow up!

You would be hard pushed to get something faster at £2k if reliability wasn't taken into it of course?

Apologies, I misinterpreted that as being the 1/4 mile

A T16 A T16 will cost 10x++++++ the cost of the car, so the entire build won't be under £2k

t16 must be joking

gti-6 engined 205's are supposed to be the conversion to go for in them these days (basically a newer mi16)

r5 wouldnt even consider one at any cost

I'll start looking into ax's soon me thinks not had one yet

Shouldn't sell the rallye really but needs must

309 GTI's are great! My sisters bloke had a red one a few years ago and went like stink! Had a few engine issues that he couldnt sort and got sold for £75 in the end!
