Author car was dropping revs now wont start?

hi there, earlier today my car started playing, when i would try to accelerate the revs would drop and sumtimes stall, and now the car will not start and eml is on, it feels astho its got no petral but only put a tenner in this morning!? any help would be great cheers

Could be something to do with fuel no getting around the car. When you do drive it, does it just randomly cut out?

its 1.2 8v got it running now but seems to lose power before it gains power if you get me
