Not long until I do the Sport Relief 3 mile run now. I havn't been running in years. I used to do cross countrys and I've done 5 mile fun runs before but this is the first time I've been for a proper run in about 8 years!

I played 6 a side football the other year and I run 2-3k on the treadmill 3 times a week but apart from that nothing.

I've just been for my first run (with a hangover) and did 1.5 miles in 10 minutes, I've used Google Maps to plot my distance (quite useful!)

I feel a lot more tired than when I run for 10 minutes on the treadmill! I'm not as fit as I thought either. I run and lift weights at the gym but running on tarmac is completely differant. My breathing was a bit weezy and I'm aching in differant places!

Going to do this run every other night inbetween my gym visits. Hopefully I'll be right for the run!

It'll be change in inclines that'll do you out on the road, plus having to stop and start for roads etc!

Which run are you doing? Guessing York'll be having one?

Done it!

There was supposed to be three of us doing it from work, only me and Emily turned up. She's quite a slow runner and we did it in 30 minutes. It was actually a cross country run which I didn't expect! I thought it would be on the road or bike track. I got home and I've got 2 missed calls and a text from the lad that never turned up, he was the one mouthing off that it would be easy too!

I've got a medal for my efforts, a dried prune, some strawberry flakes, a bottle of water and a strawberry milkshake! I also ran in my Sports Relief socks!

I raised £54 in total. Not much but every little counts!
