Is there any difference? I'm getting an NUS card through the college i'm at, is this just an NUS Extra card? Its covered by our course fee...

When I was in my first year it was NUS then it was replaced in the second year with NUS Extra. As far as we could make out the only difference was it cost £7 more so none of us bothered getting one

You get discount in Topman if you have an NUS Extra card. Well worth it

I've never bought anything from Topman in my life and never intend to so that didn't bother me The only times I ever used it was at the cinema and Maccy D's.

Yep they gave us a free burger or McFlurry if you bought a medium meal It was only a couple of minute's drive away so we went there far too much

Hmm, I got a discount in Topman the other day, mines just a standard NUS, I guess it depends how hard they look at the card eh...

You can get Maccys discount with any normal student card - Uni/College ID

I never bothered with NUS, you'd have to buy £100+ of Topman stuff to get any benefit out of it
