It seems as though split screen multi player is a thing of the past, when it comes to racing games.

What are the best racing games for the PS3, that offers this?
I'm thinking of buying Wipeout HD from the PSN, but I'm not sure if I might prefer something with "real" cars...

Any thoughts?

Not sure if it's split screen but GRID isn't too shabby.

if you have a 60GB PS3 you can play GT4 split screen

Seems not...

GRID does not have split screen, GT4 is a PS2 game and GT5 does not exist...

Back to the PS2 with Need for Speed then, that's what I've done. Its brillaint, graphics might not be as good, but at least the gf enjoys it more.
