Microscan Alarms are at the lower end of the market and i would not recommend them to anybody. I know a few people who has had these alarms and had nothing but trouble with them. Try Toad or Clifford mate!

toad cat1 got one with extras and does me fine, cliffords are annoying, marvs one goes off just when u drive past, even the wind sets it off, way way too sensitive, plus u get a huge plastic block on the dash where as a toad u get a small led.

I've got a Clifford Concept 600, and its the nuts get it done at a decent place and they'll give you engine start for next to nothin.
Make sure you shop around where ever you go, I was offered $700 first but managed to get it somewhere else for $480 + $90 for engine start. Plus make sure they're an authorised dealer otherwise your certificate won't mean jack to your insurance company.
