Im 20 and im in need of a 5k loan, good credit good job etc, but i bank with santander and they dont do loans for under 21's. I applied on one of those loan search sites and had a call today from "Bentley Cooper" loan company www.bentleycooper.co.uk now they offerd me a great rate with reasonable repayments but they ask for £99 pound admin fee upfront, now hang on a minute? thought i was the one lending the money? Has anyone ever dealt with them, or heard of this before? Or can recommend anywhere i can try before i get shafted out of £100. Thanks

What do you need it for?

I financed less than £1k for my new car and already begrudge paying it off.

Don't do it unless absolutely necessary

we've done it before, the "admin fee", basically, they refuse your loan and you lose the fee.

Try loanfinderuk

A mate of mine used them, they are a broker, but don't charge a fee till the loan is arranged and paid out.

Not had any expierience with them myself though.

I paid £3800 from a £3500 loan, first ever loan etc so I thought it was really good? Walked straight in and got it the same day in my account too.

I did do anything to get it i.e. smacking £750 on an interest free credit card, wiped all my savings out and sold my beloved Corsa.

The car is better yes, but having no savings what so ever and £100 - £200 going out of my bank every month straight onto a credit card is depressing.
