i dont mean any disrespect to Liverpool or there fans but he is wasted there, regardless of what Tom or Cosmo says - he should be at club that has a chance of winning something

He's basically said he's happy to stay so long as we can improve the squad for next year (whether we get 4th or not) so it's down to the shambolic owners and rafa to try and bring some more quality in, plus aquilani should be a different player with a full pre season. You can say all you want about him deserving to be at a team able to challenge for trophies but there is still a question mark lurking over him being able to stay fit for long periods, if he was fit for more of this season we would probably have 4th sewn up by now.

Nath - If rafa doesn't get 4th then I think he'll be gone, regardless of whether this season has been a blip or not, he guaranteed 4th and that's enough to see him gone if he doesn't get it. Part of me wants to keep him for next season but part of me is sick of his negative tactics I guess i'll just wait and see!

I knew i'd get that response, I maybe didn't put that across in the right way. He's an awesome player, I love him, I think he's one of the best around and I don't in any way blame him for us not sitting in 4th spot one tiny bit, i'm just demostrating that to any potential suitor he has had a poor injury record over the last 2 years.

If we didn't have him in the squad we'd probably be sitting in 10th.
