I have issues when it comes to wildlife.
You don't pickup a wild animal then try to sell it do you. Well I wouldn't, i'd have moved it if it was in a dangerous place, but only to a bit of woodland or near a pond.

Like id actually try and sell it, its a newt.
I just figured that seeing as though it was crawling around a DIY store covered in dust and dirt that it would actually have more of a chance of getting out and surviving if i were to pick it up.
Id have put it in dad's pond but there are no ledges and seeing as though they dont live in water 24/7 i thought it would be better off inside for now.
I had nothing for it to eat apart from maybe some leaves out the garden but they dont eat leaves as they cannot digest them and so rather than kill it that way i bought it some blood worm.
Im not going to put it in my garden because no doubt where ever i were to put it, my dog would find it and think it was tasty.
Ill try and find out which sort of newt it is and then pop it off down to the river bank later today Sholud be fairly happy there i hope.

I think we've already said which type of Newt it is on the previous page.
nahh if it was in the DIY store, fair play!!! Have you got any stones you could build a small set of steps in the pond with? they can't climb vertical, but they can crawl up large stones to get out.
No they eat insects, already put that too

Yeah been doing some more searching myself and actually I don't think its a great crested. The belly is dotted and not lined.
Don't think its a common. Most common newts are a lot more plain in colour.
I'd go with Smooth, but thats still a good find.
Send him down in a box, i'll give him a good home, get some new breeds down here
