Would this be faster than a x16xe as standard?

It's not.

Dave Wilkes on here who owned C5RSA with the MCR kit had a Lexmaul inlet, raised limiter yadda yadda and it was still slower than my totally standard GSi.

An x14xe with a x16xe in its place would also be just as fast. But thats not the question is it.

My 1.6 sport wasnt much faster than the 1.4 version. Couple of car lengths at a ton. This was years back, think it was only 3 years old when i bought it so it was very healthy

Fair enough.

I'm debating whether or not to get myself a powerbox and fit it in the summer. I havnt been able to do it because of work commitments but im leaving work in july to go back to uni so will have a few months time.

I have hardly any mechnical experience and have limited tools. If i bought one from (i think its flame who sells them) would i be able to fit it?

I have fit a new suspension to the car and done general things like change oil, sparks, wheels, brakes, exhaust, gear linkages but i have never gone further than that and i feel fitting a powerbox requires a bit more know how?

You would be able to fit it, it's fairly straight forward.

for the price of a powerbox, maybe worth saving a bit more and getting a 16xe. i mean if you can sell your 14xe aswll shouldnt cost a lot to do, if you cant swap it yourself somebody else will cheap. Also no other parts reuqired for a swap
