Anyone else have an annoying as hell exhaust note?

Bugger me, the xe is horrific when accelerating, sounds like i have an angry swarm of bee's in the exhaust!

Manifold & 2.25" system with two boxes, cams, filter.

I'm guessing its down to the manifold and/or system, wish there was something i could do to lower the tone a bit. No interior makes it pretty loud!

Good fun to drive though, regretting having to sell it.

I had 3 silencers and the standard manifold on mine and it was just about bearable.

Its because back in the 80's when the engine was designed it was so so scene to have a car that sounded like a bee hive, GM Decided to make the coat the exhaust valves in honey, so bee's would nest in your exhaust ports.

Fit a cat and that will cure the raspyness.
