I got Battery Acid in my eye's once,It wasnt good.

It hurt like fcuk,Luckily i caught it in time and went to hospital and they washed them out with all this special stuff and done a Test Burn on them.

They then gave me this Jelly like stuff and i hate to cover my eye's in it,It was horrible.

Go to the Docs Etc ASAP if it's that bad.

The real question is; has it affected your vision? If not then take some regular painkillers and the problem will probably sort itself out over the next few days. Hopefully you would have irrigated your eye for a good 15 minutes at least with clean water. Im an A&E nurse, have been for 2 years now, and can safely say that if your vision is unaffected then dont role up at A&E. If you do want to speak to someone about it then go to your GP or one of those out of hours emergency doctors that you probably have quite local to you! Hope everything goes okay!

Also, the key thing is that you said this happened the other day... in which case they are unlikely to irrigate it again now. They would have done had you have gone to A&E straight away!

Well it was when i first started my Apprentiship (sp) i got told to chuck some Batteries out into the special container and me being me back then (A few less brain cells then now and having no muscle's Etc) I chucked the battery into the container and the liquid that was in it splashed everywhere and got me right in the Eye.

Luckily though the lid had been left off numerous times so the rain water kind of diluted it a bit so it wasnt 100% Acid unless it would of been ALOT worse.

I havent chucked another Battery out since

Did you not go to A&E after you rinsed it out? I thought that was pretty standard because brake fluid is proper nasty.
