Ive had two, awesome pets - u wont regret getting one, they are fairly easy to look after so long as you love them and dont neglect them - we bought an open top cage and had their wings clipped so they could kind of fly around, as i say awesome pet. We had to let em go though as we got a doggy lol

and you know what he did to quell the myths!
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

they are lovely birds and so damm smart but do get bored easy and need quite a bit of attention also not on the small side if your thinking of a first parrot african greys are good birds and also about a third of the price and far easier to get hold of
also remember that alot of parrots tend to only take properly to the opposite sex males will not get on with blokes like they do women so bare that in mind when looking and if you got time for get young as possible cause they bond so much more to you
ps galah ftw awesome birds

caged birds should be banned IMO

My ex girlfriends parrot had been brought up with her both from a young age and whenever I went near her it would attack me, I was shit scared of it
