Im looking at getting a new car very soon. My choices are between, Astra GSI turbo or Mk3 ibiza cupra.
The thing that draws me to the astra is looks, but the ibiza's are a bit cheaper. Whats the pro's and con's with each car. Which engine would suit better to the likes of a remap and a few other bits done?

I like the Ibiza. Can you afford a Cupra-R? But they are hard to come by

180bhp as standard instead of 150 odd. I think they get different wheels and maybe a lip on the front bumper? Could be other stuff but I'm not sure what.

Not sure on price but they are rare

The turbo's shouldnt be prone to going unless they are not looked after/put under too much stress.

6 speed boxes do have common probs though.
