Just debating getting a set of wheels painted anthricite and am thinking which way to paint them.

I'm tied between powdercoating or painting them. But which will give the best finish?

Probably asking a daft question, But its worth a bash

Paint will be a better finish but powder coat will be stronger. Wouldn't ever powdercoat bike wheels though, too thin in places.

Had the bike wheels painted because it was easiest at the time. Think i'll get the car ones powder coated. Just wandered how the end finish will look.

powdercoating is hard wearing, but more of an industrial finish and therefore not as shiney and if chipped impossible to touch up, and from expirence seems to chip resonably easily

something like 671 Middle Graphite would have been closer to what your after, that looks like it could have been of the RAL chart and therefore alot of greys do come out blue
