Jointly Liable for £100,000 of Mortgage and have about £9k student loan left to pay.

I don't know if either of those are attributed to personal debt or not.

I don't know what grounds the think tanks use for what is or isn't Personal Debt - remember most will be Government agencies which will want the figures to look good for their particular country.

They might not take certain debts into account; or they might be catagorised differently from say a loan, credit card debt or finance etc

Well, not really....
If your house has depreciated, but you can still make the payments and your not going anywhere, then it doesnt matter?

Mortgage

Thats it.

Don't owe anything else. Never use my credit card but if I do its paid off each month.

Also got a nice healthy chunk of savings too.....so I put credit. Didn't include the mortgage.
