If you want the car to go down more (lower it) then you need to screw them downwards.

ok. Jus done one. The spring extends and the helper spring so when i put it on car will they compress all the way down making it lower yeah? i havent put them all the way down left about 4 thead things jus in case.

The top part will lower if you screw them down, hence the lower stance
