Polished rims are looking a disgrace & are too hard to keep nice.

I spotted this on AT same as mine & think it looks nice!!

New wheels are not an option any more, im just wanting to tidy them up now with a finish that will last me through to when I change car.

Is that just anthracite finish

BigMotoringWorld.

They seem to have a lot of cars!!

Theres 3 the same as mine (but lesser spec/more miles) on AT all priced at more than I paid 12 months ago. Tempted to cash it in having owned an M3 for a year & it only costing me insurance & the fuel I put in the tank!!

shadow chrome is nice but you can't beat polished alloys on a lovely sunny day.

what graeme said, bmw wheels are known for lifting laquer and corrosion on their diamond spun wheels. If you get them refurbed properly it wont happen again in the time that you own the car

Nope diamond cut is what most companies do when refurbing, using some sort of abrasive...it doesnt look as good as standard.

M3 wheels come polished & laquered.

I could do them myself but it takes ages and I dont have any spare rims and theres a good chance they will fuck up again quickly.

Hassle free drive in drive back out refurb with a durable coating sounds good to me.

I'm having mine done shadow chrome as they are really starting to go bad and I can't stand to look at them. Shame really as they looked sweet before winter

i could sware that the wheels i always saw on M3`s in the BMW bodyshop i worked in were diamond cut.

But as you said they do seem to suffer from lacquer lifting after a they get even the smallest of stone chips and then it just gets worse and worse.
