Possession related?
E.g Laptop, Camera, Phone etc?
What do you need if you've just lost an item?
I have a reciept, but no box for the item, would this be okay?
Who are you insured with for your possessions? Home insurance doesn't cover loss, so don't say home insurance...

I was with some insurance for students thing. £10 excess for lost/damaged items.
First claim was for a broken camera, just needed to send a copy of the reciept to prove that I owned what I was claiming for, no other questions asked.
Second claim was also for a broken camera, but this time I had to send the camera to them.
My sister has claimed before and said the item was a gift, and she didn't need to send them anything

Crazy to think they didn't even want to see anything, I bet so many false claims happen because of this

pretty sure they cover everything, loss, accidental damage, theft and also worldwide and iirc also offer no excess.
edit - also cover it if its left in car and equipment inc laptops but not sure on phones.
