Decided I'm going to get back into xc cycling as I used to be really into it but work and having a driving license meant that I've not had a bike for a few years.

My boss is a Felt dealer so I'm going for a Felt Q920 but my problem is I cant decide what size to go for. I find I'm slightly in the middle of sizes. The choice is either a 17.5 or 19.5. I'm 6ft tall so either is a possibility. Dont want to go buying one I'm not happy with but I cant help thinking either way there will be downsides with both of them.

Any advice welcome..

The obvious question is have you tried sitting on either of them?

I looked at a 19.5 and a 21.5 when I was buying mine and the 21.5 was like piloting a barge. Far too big.

I dont have the chance to. No stockists around here. My boss is a supplier but he only stocks road bikes and hes getting me this as a favour so I cant ask him to buy 2 in.

I used to use an 18" for my xc race bike and it was perfect so I'm swaying towards the 17.5 but on the other hand I've had a Specialized Rockhopper that wa s a17 and it felt a bit small.

I think its personal preference, I'm 6'2" but I ride an 18" frame.

6ft and have and have a 17.5

Find it a little small so may change up to 19 in the future
