Well shes been looking at the new clio and ford fiesta older shape so i suggested a sportka as i remember seeing one on here that even i liked:
She now is hooked on getting one. So yes i kinda like them but no its not for me as im after a CTR some when this year.
So main things im looking for is rust, anywhere in particular? Im guessing they share alot of parts from the basic ka and ford engines so fixing will be a doddle like corsas?

Rust - Sills, fuel cap, arches. The usual sorts of places. Worse than the MK3 / 3.5 Fiesta for rust! Heard of plenty requiring new sills to be welded on to get through MOT's etc

hmm, cheers rich
How did you know about all that
Well were looking at very low millage ones so if she buys one with no rust ill just take it to a friend and get the underside sealed and protected. Aslong as i know about it so i can look out for anything starting to come through.

Dream car for me until I found out all that, and my dreams were shattered
Nah, I guess just from working in the "trade" (I use that loosely!) for a few years I've seen more than my fair share of Ka's and the state they end up in!
