I'm on the hunt for a set of 60mm springs and having 40mm springs already fitted I wanna have a go myself instead of me paying a bomb for a garage to do!
Can anyone help? I know how to do the back springs its just the front ones that are tricky!

the front ones you need two spring compressors to compresse the spring then you need two goose neck spanners to undo the top mounts

you can be VERY careful and use a fat mate instead of spring clamps, i have, but would recommend the spring clamps
loosen nut at top of strut
undo strut mounts (two nuts at top of shock attaching to car)
jack car up / wheel off
youll see two bolts above brake disc where shock attaches, remove them
wiggle shock out
remove top nut from shock (the one you initially loosened)
remove spring
reassemble shock with new spring
ensure all shock components are on, in correct order, right way up
install new shocks / springs as above

if you have biught struts with springs already on you wont need to do what faz has said, its only 2 x 13mm bolts on top of strut and 2 x 18mm on the hub and the strut will come out
