I went with Virgin from Euston to Manchester. Ended up buying two single tickets though as it worked out cheaper. they were the best i could find at the time, should be wuite reasonable if you book now, although that would fall into the summer hols so prices might be higher around then.

i use thetrainline.com for my train needs. Cant say whether it"s cheap or not tho

I last booked with Raileasy.

Going from my home town near Bedford, to Manchester, for £50 return. For 2 people. £25 return each. Bargain if you ask me.
