I wondered how many people on here do shares, and if so what they are in?
I currently hold about 8000 shares in Centrica so about £24k or so.
They will be used for dividends and then cashed in a couple of years down the road (I honestly think they will go up by about 50% in the next 2 years!) so I may use the fact to do a degree?
Does anyone else trade and if so, why? Money gains being the obvious one but...

Done the investment share & save as you earn when I worked for BP.
The share match investment plan was 2nd to none, pretty much buy £3k worth of shares at current rate then get one free for every one you bought at the rate 3yrs later!!
Cashed them in to buy my 1st property & dont work for them now!!

I am maxed out at £125 a month on them (not allowed to do anymore!) and it is basically buy one get one free upto 22 'free' shares a month!
Do you dabble with shares now Colin or have you binned it off?
