i've seen a few people have done this on mig and on here an im just wondering what are the advantages of fitting one instead of a standard one? is it easier to fit?

saxo pump are elctric so you wire them via a relay. to fit it the easier way smash it onto some brackets on battery tray, if your corsa has a pas rack now and has a pas cooler behind bumper, the pipes split sort of near the passenger headlight. use that pipe to fit to the saxo pas outlet using a couple of washers into the threaded hole in saxo pump due to corsa threaded end being shorter. return to pump from rack is not under pressure so hose clipped anyway so no dramas.
or be posh and have custom made pressure line knocked up.

doesn't sound too hard but now i've said that you know its going to go wrong lol, is there a guide anywhere that i could print off, main reason im thinking about doing it is because vauxhall don't make the tensioners for the redtop/let pump anymore and non of my local scrappys have any cavs ect in but loads of 106's and saxo's

you can use a 2.0 8v pas pump incase that is any use.

i have the pump just the tensioner bolts/pullys i haven't got but the saxo/106 one seems easier

yeah its not hard at all.
get a pump and make brackets to mount it on battery tray
it needs earth and live via a relay fused with preferably 40amp or larger
feed pipe either get the likes of pirtek to make one, or use the standard corsa from a car that has a pas cooler.
return is hose clipped so is simple enough.
thats about it.

sounds easier put that way mate, i'll have to get on with it then so i can use the standard powersteering pipes from my car just modified?

if you have a pas cooler yes. it splits sort of near the passenger side headlight. the bit that goes back to the rack should connect up to the saxo pas pump as its a tapered thread. but, the saxo pas pump has a longer threaded bit, so will cross thread unless you put some washers down the hole if you get what i mean.

you mean the thread spacing is bigger? is the pas cooler the long spiral thing in front of the radiator that goes to the inlet part of a standard pump, what size washers did you use nic?
