my mates mate is selling a astra with c20let engine already in it i dont no if its mk3 or 4 i ant seen it yet hes guna bring it up just need to sort the front bumper out.just want to no what to look for

any strange noises that may indicate bottem end wear ie knocks banks rattles , whiney gearbox , smokey turbo (blue smoke coming from exhaust )

if its on f28 make sure gearbox is good as you cant get rebuilt parts for them since about 1999.

just do what i did and run an f23 if the box is nakkared, ideally you want to hear it start from cold and listen for tapping or knockin and look for smoke, let it warm up take it out and look for smoke when on boost aswell, let it get warm and have another listen/look
