I would throw a fit if someone asked me for a recipt for something that was guaranteed for life - why would i still have a recipt after 7 years (or even 25 years etc in theory!)

Dont have a receipt for mine as it was a gift, nothings broken yet however if it did & they refused to replace because I didnt have a bit of paper I think i'd be sticking the broken socket bit through their window!!

my tool kit is almost entirely comprised of profesonal, only thing that has broken in 8 years is the 1/2" lockable extensions and 2 torques bits. Not bad tbh

not a bad idea what stu said. Although the good thing about halfrauds is, there is loads of them.

So if one store gives you hassle you can just go to another one and try your luck there, chances are once you raise a bit of fuss in store they will just sort you out to shut you up and get rid of you.

Could also just give them a piece of paper thats been in the washing machine or gotten wet. and ask them why the recipt doesnt come with the same lifetime guarentee as the tools?

i've replaced a few without a reciept,

even had a ratchet replaced when the internal's fucked up, even though they shouldn't get replaced, as moving parts aint covered

i've got the older version of that one, which i think is better

I've worn out my 3/8 ractchet twice now but it's only £4 for new insides, I've broken a few allen sockets, screw driver heads, and a 10mm spanner

But they always swap none moving stuff no probs. I work on plant on building sites, and quarrys so it's doing alright

GO ON GET IT

Had mine bout 3 years now, most of the bits are alright, small and medium ratchets are ttly shite tho, both mine are fucked and they dont guarentee the moving parts! also almost all my torque bits are snapped. My advice would be to spend a bit more cash and get a brit tool or kamasa kit. Bit more quality.
