Me and a mate are looking into buying a car just for track days. Its only going to be a tigra but for the price we thought why not. Basically we want it to stay road legal so it can be driven to the track.
So we are going to keep it MOT'd but how can we go about taxing it when the only cover we will be having is day insurance when we want to go to a track.
Also, would I need tax/insurance to tow it? its at my mates house and I want it at mine because of the garage/ tools and space here.

Depends on how many times you are going to use it and what the cost of a full annual policy is.
The few quotes I've done for daily cover are silly so it might work out cheaper to insure for a year, but cancel it after 6 months say.
Then you'll have a proper certificate to show to DVLA/Post office/wherever you do it.
