A site like lolcatz, where you upload a picture of your mate looking like a retard and caption it.
I imagine there would be a lot of pictures of doyle and jaycorsagsi.
Discuss? ... would this work? ... too controversal?

Only thing is Paul, it would take a lot of time and effort.
Plus the only way to make any money is through advertising on the site, and would need mega traffic (mega money for hosting/server) to achieve that...
Just don't see the point of creating a free service for people online for so much time and effort.
icanhazcheeseburger site now has a shop iirc, t shirts, books the lot. They've done well, if you can make it that big, then there's potential money to be had.

I could have the site built in 5 hours.
I've already got hosting.
- It's a very simple idea to create... the problem is, getting the initial ball rolling... e.g. initial pictures etc.
Plus what features would it have to make people use it / what makes it funny etc?
... my biggest concern though is i'm potentially mocking real retards and will end up on the 'wright stuff' or gmtv explaining why i'm such a bastard.

Laughing at cats has a fairly universal appeal.
Not sure about the friend thing. Perhaps if you came from a less controversial angle. Like mate in a state in FHM or Loaded or whatever it was in.
Although I couldn't see myself spending too much time there.
