Get a early high mileage one like mine as all the problem parts have been replaced.
Cars on 96k now, had a few little probs, but otherwise its been as good as gold and it drives the best it ever has.

Watched a few and they've gone well over £100. I'm watching a few standard upper grilles which I should get for less than £45.
I paid £100 for mine off AON, put a wanted post on and loads of people replied saying you'll never get one that cheap, within the day i had one for £100.
Since sold it on eBay for £135.
They're less than that brand new from Vauxhall.

I thought you only got it a few months back. Why selling so quick?
Found out I could get what I paid for it and may end up getting a house soon so thought I'd quit while the going was good, it'll get replaced with something cheaper for a bit, wasn't anything to do with the car, was starting to quite like it.

Kano speaks sense.
I love my Sports Hatch 150 CDTI SRI with XP. Great engine which really comes into its own on long runs/motorways...
Loads of torque for everyday driving too...

Then you've got an early high mile car though.

Worth it though for the spec and price I paid and havent had the bother with keep taking it to the dealer every week.

Mine was a year old on 13k miles and I took it to the dealer once to get some new pads and discs under warranty because one had a score on the inside.

Going to look at an astra H 1.8 140 at the weekend which is at a dealers.
It has 40k on the clock and is an 07 plate,2 owners.
Is there anything apart from the obvious to keep an eye out for?

the 1.8 isnt great, engine doesnt really have any problems but they just arent great, have to rev them to get anywhere and the 120 8v cdti keeps up no bother
other than that no real problems i can think of, just do the pedal check to see if there are any fault codes and the usual things you would look for

Doesn't the 1.8 love a drink of petrol too?
