I had the same last night.
Drank a beer at about two o' clock and managed to get in a solid four hours of sleep.
At work now and not feeling up for it...!

There was a time where I would hardly sleep, was always on red bull or coffee and went days at a time on a few hours sleep. My right eye was always twitching and I felt deadly sick.
Times change, work pattern changed and my sleep pattern changed Just try and get a decent night once in a while and you'll be reet

i'm the same on earlies mate. i work 3 shift so it's very hard to get into any kind of sleeping pattern.
a hot chocolate before bed seems to help.
also, don't go on your computer or watch tv right before bed. take 15 minutes to just relax and let your mind clear.

All you ever hear these days is sob stories about how people can't sleep, don't get enough sleep or don't have enough time to sleep.
Puts me to sleep tbh.

It's about pattern and habit.
I don't sleep if I sit on here all night, doesn't matter if I've worked a whole day and been up for 20/30 hours.
Best thing is to decide on a routine and try and stick to it.

Interesting facts:
light going into your eye is what tells your body when it's day time. Therefore sleeping normally when sun rises you naturally would start to wake.
The problem is in the 21st century, we've got electric things which emit light. E.g our computer screen.
Therefore sitting infront of the computer just before going to bed is making you feel more awake. Same with if you have any light source in your room when trying to sleep.
Take bens advice, go chill in a darker area, maybe try Reading a book. Then go to bed

You do realise humans aren't built to sleep 8 hours through the night? Contrary to popular belief.

If you watch TV or on the computer in a dark room it makes you more tired
