About a year ago we had a full bathroom suite installed by B&Q to what we thought would be a good standard seeing as it cost £4000.
Since fitting there have been about 184093 problems with it, only one of which has been semi-rectified.

So far there has been:

- Tile grout cracking and tiles coming loose (now sort of fine)
- Shower was about as useful as spitting on yourself
- Toilet seat hinge broken
- Toilet seat lid randomly fell off
- Sink plug likes to disconnect itself from the leaver
- Bathroom fan likes to turn itself on with the kitchen light now
- Sealant around the shower was of very poor quality and caused leaking from the shower

AMONGST OTHER THINGS!

We phoned up and complained as things piled up and got a surveyor out who wrote a report and handed it into his seniors. After a few weeks we heard nothing so we phoned up again the other week and 2 days ago the same surveyor came out to write the SAME report again (still with nothing rectified).
Now waiting on B&Q to get back in contact, but they don't seem to give a flying fuck about the shoddy job they have done. BADGERS!

Anyone else had any negative service/product complaints with B&Q like this?

They probably think that if you paid them 4k to fit a bathroom you probably don't worry about money and you won't chase them up, there can't be any other reason to have paid 4 thousand pounds to get a B&Q bathroom fitted

No, but then I would employ one of my trusted plumbers to install it better and for cheaper.

Not much use to you though

No not really Andy!

John - the £4000 was including suite, all tiling, re-wire for bathoom, complete new layout and labour. Can see where you're coming from but they're a big name so not really a good way to get positive customer feedback on the whole if they treat their customers like that.
Just glad I didn't have to pay it!
