Well my CBR is now 1 year old , so for its birthday i decided to buy it an exhaust, bought the one that i was wanting no just the cheapest/loudest one.
here is a link to it:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360185588851&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT
because my exhaust comes out under the seat, they are alot more expensive, ended up costin $772 USD..... and thats only for the end can and joining pipe, for a full system its WELL over £1000 GBP. but month i will hopefully have it fitted, as it takes a few weeks to come from America !!
that is all

Adam, most exhausts (decent ones) cost over £1k. Material.
And yes, its stupid you can spend £3k on a bike, then £1k on an exhaust, £2500 on carbon/mag wheels...
No different to car modifying. Things get quickly expensive.

As said, can't see it, but im guessing carbon, or titanium.
Plus theres the designer brand name.
But these exhausts in this range of price are the same spec items you will find on a World Superbike and have proven gains. Its the same as whether you buy a Miltex for your VX, or a RAGE exhaust...
I don't agree with the cost, its rediculas, but if you want proven gains and the best workmanship, you pay for it. My exhausts is titanium, just a rear car, £700+ but the quality and welding is absolutly fantastic.
Fli3, if its an arka, its double alone for the name Image google WSBikes and see how many top teams use them

Thats exactly it, your paying for the name. I get pissed off for the same reason with my VX, an exhaust for that start at about £450. Its a silencer and a bent tube. Its fucking ridiculous.

its and akrapovic evo with hex tip, titanium with carbon fibre tip.
yeah this is just the rear can, not the full system, as VXR said , for the full system its over £1k , i will get it next month, got too much out goings this month, i could easily afford it, but i thought i had better be sensible since i just got my new car today.
