you can pike up a set of bike carbs for around £100, twin webbers for atleast £400+, then you need a manifold made so looking another £200+, uprated fuel pump, management, all adds up in the end

Problem on a X16 is the ign, you need to run management, otherwise no spark ofc!
You cannot run any dizzy type setup, unless you do it off the cambelt, which imo is stupid.

As for carbs vs carbs, both will need custom manifold, lots of work.

the dizzy isnt ran by cam belt whoever said that. Its ran from a pulley that is usually driven off a modified cam pulley. Dont see how thats stupid. A dizzy is ran by the cam to fire any way.

I know i said cambelt, cambelt pully then, i knew what i ment.

Its stupid as it is hard to set it up correctly so you get the correct timing, and there is feck all space to do it in a corsa.

hmmm, would prob sit with a c20xe then? probably worth the money, just do the engines tend to get battered quite quickly being reasonably old, and small?

There is a lot of shit advice in here.
Carbs, I got twin 40's for £200
You can get off the shelf inlet manifolds for carbs.
You don't need management for £700 if you are doing ignition only.
