Is there any reason why new brakes (rear discs & pads) would be squeeking after 250 miles? I wouldn't have thought they'd be warped as i've not been braking heavily?

Lack of copper slip on the back of the pads?

Well copperslip can help stop squeal when it's smeared on the back of the pad. I always do it as a matter of course when replacing brake pads.

The fact it's not there though, will it just mean I get squeel but won't necessarily make anything wear quicker?

my brakes have started squealing ever since the ring haha, i think iv warped something along the line

good job im changing them in the next week or so.

id say in your case might be glazed, take them out at high speed and stamp on them real hard see if that gets rid of it. Also check your squeal clip is on correctly.

Some pads just squeal by nature, my mintex ones do

they might just be bedding in, rears take longer.

i wore mine down by using the handbrake while driving, (think my pads were too big/thick)

My new ones squeek when accelerating but stops as soon as i lift my foot off the pedal.

Would this be the same as needing more copper slip on the back of the pads?

I tried a bit of hard braking and it's not really helped. I'm gonna give it a go with the handbrake on for a few miles It's too annoying.
