Could happen to anyone in a modern car though i guess. What with cars locking themselves, having no door pins, being all electrical etc

I am sure all new cars still have a way of getting out? My car doesn't have door pins, just a little catch by the handle. I'm sure you'd need to have a way out because of this happening.
