The reason for a longer pedal is down to the size of the caliper in the piston. The 16v ATE calipers have 52mm pistons, then depending on the type of V6/turbo caliper you have they will have either a 54mm or 57mm piston size.
The larger the piston, the more fluid must be passed in order to see the same distance of travel at the pad.
