They are bomb proof little engines! I accidently ran mine without coolant for ages and it just carried on as normal

They do silly MPG as well. I used to swear mine used to run on air!

neither vectras or corsa gsis are remarkable

so a vectra msd and a corsa gsi are exactly the same as a 1.0.

have a day off

which part of my sentance did i say they where the same? a corsa gsi is in essance the same car but with some fancy bumpers and a slightly larger shit engine, why else do so many have c20xes now?

a bugatti veyron is a remarkable car, a gt40 is a remarkable car, a mcclaren f1 is a remarkable car....... see the trend no vectras or gsis present mate

R.E the slow comment i made earlier.

Ive started to give it some revs as of today and i can feel its started to loosen up a bit,its still slow tho.I reckon its had an easy life.I know when my bro had it,it never went past 2k lol.

MPG is alright, the Ford Ka still beats it hands down. Those things DO run on fumes.

im glad some people agree with me, i cant fault mine, it ran for ages without a lambda sensor or a mass air flow sensor and it just kept on going and going. and to the name "arf a v6" it just counts for one bank of the v6, its what me n my dad call mine. if anyone would like some stickers doing u2u me and say what colour u want, i will put pics up on the fb group of the stickers i have on mine

As said before, try driving a 1.2 8v. Dangerously slow!

I got about 450 miles out of a tank from mine once. That's pretty good for a petrol Meant driving like a granny though

I never got lower than 47mpg in mine.

They're fantastic cars - I'd recommend them to anyone. Although I'd say go for the 1.2 16v as it is slight more adept at the motorway.
