How did you find today? Hope Fee kept you busy

Thanks for the help!

Yeah was a good day, the oil drip seemed to have stopped but mostly I was monitoring pressures pre during and post sessions. Fee seemed to know where she wanted the pressures, torqueing up the wheels just after shes come off track was interesting with roasting brakes.
The car was quite quiet tbh, wasnt as loud as the other R32 as they were following each other on fast laps in the final. All in all was a good and very long day

yup... i think it was waaay to hot for the cars hehe.

Brakes and tyres would have taking a pounding! I'll check out the discs when I'm home. Hopefully they wont be blue!

Is it something you could do full time, racing the car? also, what do you win if you come first in TA at the end of the season? I saw you at KH lastweek, walked past you after the briefing or what ever was going on, was going to say hello but my mouth wouldn't open

full time racing of the Skyline would cost a lot more than any 'drive' would pay

She has her race licence now so I told her to look on racecarsdirect for drives

I'd love to, but i just dont think I'm good enough

I can drive the skyline, but if I attempt to drive the impreza I'm a total mess!

We've had the skyline for 3 years now or so, and I have used it a lot and developed things as we go so I know it pretty well

Maybe its just a confidence thing...I've only actually used the impreza twice on track!

Oh, and the winner of time attack gets another bigger trophy!
I think they should refund our costs for the year

... and thats only been for a few laps until you come in saying its pish

Totally different cars. It takes me a while to get used to the Skyline again as its so solid compared to the Impreza (i've never driven the scoob with its new susp though). Its got quirks that you need to get used to... the clutch and gearbox, the heavy steering, long gearing, the fact that you have to trust the rear in the dry... its very neutral i.e it 4 wheels drifts rather than snapping.

Impreza is just the opposite - very light, too short geared, twitchy - bonkers. I'm sideways for whats feels like most of a lap when compared to the Skyline

Really noticed I coudlnt drive the Skyline at Outlon we I had a shot in April. I was locking up the rears going down gears etc but they found it OK and got straight back into it at KH. Knowing the track helps a lot I suppose.

I might use it on our August trackday if you're not home...keep the skyline tucked up and (hopefully) working until the TA final in October
Wouldnt mind practicing in your car either...I've been thinking I might start racing in it next year until I get a new cage sorted
