now my ipod touch is reading as a camera and doesnt appear to be liking itunes anymore, any suggestions?

message when i plug it in says "itunes was unable to load provider data from sync services, reconnect or try again later"

I'd try putting it in DFU mode (google it), see if itunes picks up on it then, then maybe restore it. Should do the trick
