Late 2002 Honda Civic Type R in Milano Red.
70,000 miles
Honda Service History/Unit 8 (Honda Specialists)
9 Months MOT
4 Months TAX
2 Previous Owners
Factory Fitted Honda Smart Nav (Satnav and Traffic)
Factory Fitted Parking sensors

The car it’s self is in a very good condition for it’s age. The paintwork is a very vibrant red and not faded. The interior is also in good condition with the rear seats looking like they've never even been sat in. The previous owner I bought the car off had it garaged and only used on weekends hence the lower than average mileage and the none faded paintwork.

The car isn’t standard and some very tasteful modifications which have all been done by my self, the car was standard when I purchased it 14 months ago.

Exterior:
Mugen front splitter
Satin black grill
Satin black masked headlights (inserts sprayed black)
Carbon fibre Mugen Replica Spoiler (Sides red centre flap carbon)
Facelift tinted red lights
De-badged boot lid (badge is included)
Carbon fibre vinyl roof (I’m not usually a fan of this but it carrys the carbon over the car onto the spoiler very well, can be removed if buyer wishes)

Interior:
Carbon fibre centre console with silver knobs
Skunk 2 Anthracite gear knob
Carbon fibre door grabs
Alpine Headunit with Mp3 and Ipod connectivity

Engine and Transmission:
Quaife LSD (Fitted by Unit 8 - 3,500 miles ago, along with fresh gearbox oil) Standard diff included in sale
Mugen rocker cover
Satin black spark plug cover
I-Vtec cover removed but included in the sale
AEM Cold air induction kit
AEM Hydro shield (Shields the filter from water)
Energy Mount inserts (Prevents wheel hop that the standard cars suffer from)

Suspension and Handling
22mm JDM Anti roll bar
Buddyclub roll centre adjusters (Prevent the adverse effects of lowering a car by raising the lower control arms)
Energy insert lower control arm bushes (replaces the soft lower control arm bushes)
Standard suspension all in very good condition

Brakes
Bremtech front brake discs (1800 miles old)
Ferado DS2500 front pads (400 miles covered, Nearly new standard pads included)
Do-Luck braided brake lines
Brake fluid change and flush performed when items were fitted four months ago.
Mintex rear pads (1800 miles old)
Bremtech rear disks (1800 miles old)

The bodywork has had paint correction performed about 2 months ago using Merzerna products and then sealed using dodo juice wax which has been topped up every 2 weeks.

The car has been subject to a no expense spared style maintenance and has had anything it needs which hasn’t been much. The car also benefits from having a new steering rack under warranty from Honda just before I bought it (Over 1000 pounds plus fitting and a very common problem). All drop links were also replaced around 2000 miles ago, not because they needed it but because the anti roll bars were being upgraded it made sense to do.

The engine runs very quietly and pulls very strong throughout the rev range, valve clearances were also checked and adjusted by Unit 8 around 4000 miles ago. The oil has been changed three times in my ownership (12,000 miles) and the gearbox oil also was changed when the Quaife LSD was installed.

The car is very clean underneath also with no rust showing anywhere and that included the exhaust system which are also prone to rusting around the back box area.

In terms of the suspension like stated, 4 new drop links have been fitted, the roll centre adjusters replace the ball joints for those that don’t know so there is no worry in regards to warn ball joints which is another common problem on the EP3 Type Rs. The track rods were also replaced around 700 miles ago as they were becoming slightly warn.

I could go on and on about the car but I think I’ve mentioned enough, it’s a very good example of a Milano Type R I have plenty of old Tax Discs and old MOT Certificates as well as a number of receipts for various parts and work that’s been carried out. The largest being the fitment of the LSD.

The car is far tighter and responsive than any EP3 I’ve been in and I will happily take any potential serious buyers on a long test drive to show this.

Only bad points are the front bumper is stone chipped a little and would need a respray to be perfect but thats just me being picky. The bonnet has no stone chips at all

The reason for sale is I’ve decided to buy a Honda S2000 as I’ve wanted one for a long time. Please don’t offer a Part EX unless you have an S2000 as it’s the only car I want.

Any questions please feel free to call me or message me.

The pictures show the car fitted with BC racing Coilovers and Rota grid Drift alloys in Bronze. These can be included in the sale for an extra £1,000. The wheels alone cost £1200 with the tyres and the coilovers £649 so a bargain to be had.

Private plate not included in sale.

No swirls
