Here's the problem. On driving to Glasgow last night an old stone wall next to the main road crumbled and landed on front of my car severely denting two wheels, scraping the cill and bursting two brand new tyres. If the council own this wall can I claim? If it was a bike that hit it they would be dead!

was it a wall by someones house? im pretty sure the house insurance of the person would then cover it
if it was a wall in the middle of nowhere, maybe council? not sure

Did you stop straight away and take photographic evidence of this? If not, you don't have a leg to stand on tbh.

seems quite odd if im being honest and your not trying to get money from me
the council will tell you to fuck off and worst case probably report you to the police and claim you damaged the wall.
what road?

How big was this wall
Sounds very strange to me. Could contact council and ask them who has responsibility of the wall. Could also try google streetview to see if there are pics of the wall standing.

Am fucking telling you, there was an old crumbling retaining wall on a bend and just as I came round the corner a rock fell from it and hit my wheel, bursting the rear passenger and front passenger side tyres, couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was either hit that or have a head on with car on other side.

Of course I did, thast why the car has not a single mark on it, I managed to hit the wall just with two tyres!
