Stayed in a stag party in the Holiday Inn, the rooms were absolute shite but they were on the seafront and when you're 10 pints in who gives a shit.

Book some time to go to Scoop and Crumb which is an ice cream shop, it's fucking amazing.

we stayed in the thisstle right on the sea front, reasonable price and nice rooms.
as for night time, go to platinum lace (spearmint rhinos) turn left out of the hotel and its right infront of you, open till 5am and drinks are same price as the clubs.
we went there then went to oceana then went back to platinum lace , be warned the cash machine inside charges you £5 per withdrawal and shows up on your bill, one of the guys used his joint account card took some explaining.
bloody good weekend though

Just remembered - it wasn't Holiday Inn it was the Quality Inn. Just had a look at the site though and can't get any bookings in August. You could try hotels a bus/cab ride away in places like Hove.

thistle is a more upmarket hotel, i reckon that most of the hotels on the seafront would be quite alot especially as its in season

Stay in a hostel if you want it cheap. You should get it for around that price iirc.
