Anybody have any suggestions i can try? car was originally a 1.2 8v but now has a 1.4 8v sri engine in it, everything went well tried to start it up and theres no fuel, half a tank showing on the gauge and i can hear the fuel pump whirring when i turn the key, paper clip test gave no errors, anybody got any ideas?

Injectors/fuel rail clear? No fuel lines kinked?

Fuel rail is clean, lines look ok too, doesnt seem to be any fuel coming up the lines at all not even to the filter, i hear the pump spinning though when i turn the engine over

Try a different pump.

Are the fuel lines round the right way? Disconnect them and see if the fuel is coming through and out these, you should be able to analyse a bit better

And try a new pump

Thanks for replies, have tried with the pipes disconnected still nothing no fuel even getting to the filter, will try a different pump tomorrow but it was working in the doner car

Going to try my original 1.2 fuel pump today, i had this same problem with getting the doner car started no fuel so its starting to look like thats the problem, i will still have to get an MPI fuel pump though wont i?

yes, the 1.4 SRi engine was a MPI, so you will need to change the pump

Tried my 1.2 pump and it worked fine so must have been a dodgy pump
