I'm having a bit of confusion with my water heater. I believe it's an electric tank-less water heater which instantly heats the water. It has a boost button on it and you can set the timer to have boost on and off times. The previous tenant seems to have had the boost on between 7:30am and 10

0pm, presumably it will only heat water on demand and wont use energy when no hot water is being used. At the moment I've had it turned off and have had no hot water because I can't figure out how to use the damn thing and there are no instructions

Anyone got any experience with these?

There'll be a tank somewhere, they're normally dual immersion tanks with the boost being the smaller tank at the top. Is your timer a Horstmann Electronic 7?
