Some of you may know, my bumper broke off and is going to Tom this Saturday to get repaired, however my 4-2-1 turned up today and will be fitting it tomorrow(friday)

Tom is quite away from me, and want to amke sure its runnin right before i get on some big roads, would I be allowed to drive the car with no bumper on? and display numberplate in windscreen, and explain situation? don't want to risk points

Its a grey area but if you have an accident and someone is killed/seriously injured you will be up shit creek without a paddle.

No its not - you can't drive a car with sharp bits.

Either bodge it up sufficiently (although this still isn't guaranteed to be legal) or trailer it.

A guy I used to work with drove for 3 months with no rear bumper on his car as he spun it and ripped the bumper off (broke all the fixings) instead of fixing it, he just kept it in the boot

He travelled 70 miles a day to and from work and only ever got pulled and cautioned by the Police once!
