One of my mates has a mk4 Golf. She didn't know what the rear window de-mister button did so she left it on all of the time. Including Summer

Someone I used to work with bought a Clio as their first car and once rattled off this list of things that she's crashed into (one of which resulted in half the driver's front wing being snapped off) and then asked me how many things I'd hit. I said none

As mentioned, its a load of bollocks - my stepmum drives her freelander like she's sat on a wasp.. turns it on rags the hell out of it to her work (which is 1 mile away) and then turns it off.... she doesn't check tyres, oil, water at all.... saying it's been owned by a lady owner simply implies that the car hasn't been ragged or driven hard

Lady owner mean fuck all.
My mates ex g/f just sold her 1.25L Fiesta for £100 coz it was a total wreck. She didn't give a shit about that car, there wasn't a panel that wasn't dented or heavily scratched and it was pretty much mint when my mate bought her it.

I was talking about servicing my car or something the other week.

My girlfriend and her mate both thought service and MOT were the same thing
