Is that eurofighter fully armed
That is one of BAe's development aircraft IPA5. The air-show is a massive sales front for companies so as they are so actively seeking export sales they sent along that one with three drop tanks and four Paveway 2 laser guided bombs to demonstrate it's capabilities whilst fully laden a few ton of stores on board. The bombs are inert practice ones btw!
Yer they said on the radio comenty that they had loaded as much as possible on it plus extra fuel to show what it can do fully laden. Was still no slouch though

BIG BUMP!
2012 Airshow is coming up, trying to plan my weekend down there.
I want to go to the actual airshow on the sunday, find a cheap hotel for the sunday night, then hopefully position myself on the hill these pics were taken on, on the monday morning for when all the planes leave.
Anyone with any advice on how/where to get to the viewing point?!

I will be there again bothe the Saturday and the Sunday with various people.
The viewing point is at the end of the runway on the A323 Fleet road.
There are free parking spots dotted around the area. I park in one past the viewing point heading from fleet to aldershot on right hand side just past laffans road, which is gravel and next to the entrance to eelmoor test centre.
You will have to walk back along the road about 1/2 mile and the viewing point is on the left up the hill. Be prepared to get there early as traffic can be a bitch. I usually get there about 10-10.30ish.
You can also park in fleet near bourley road/twiseldown and yomp across the Heath to ceasers camp which is the highest point but you are much further away.
Hotel wise that's near, if you want cheap then travel lodge at fleet on fleet road is your best.

Cant believe how expensive it is, £70 for 2 people, plus food, travel and maybe a hotel, very steep to look at some planes. I would love to go though, maybe not that much though.
