I've had a couple of nights there on my way down to Key West from Orlando. really didn't do much apart from drive round and go to the beach in the day then eat out at night. From what I remember there was plenty going on so you should be sorted.

Me. If you are going in a group of all males you will struggle to get anywhere without "buying a table" which costs about $150 per person.
You will also feel very out of place as all the clubs/bars are packed with Latin American rich people.
It's very expensive, we were told if we went to downtown Miami there was a chance we would get shot/stabbed.
Nice beach though

Yep. You get a bottle or 2 of Vodka and some mixers included in the price. We did it on our last night. There were 8 of us I think the total bill came to about $1500.

I've made it out to sound pretty bad. It's a nice city and there is enough to do during the day. We just weren't very impressed by the nightlife.
You could go to the Everglades and the Florida Keys. Fort Lauderdale isn't far either if you are going near Spring Break.

There was a place called Nikki Beach which backs onto a beach which I remember being pretty cool. Other than that I can't remember names.
We had a couple of good nights in the bars of other hotels (they are open to the public), just chatted to randoms and got drunk...

I went in a group of 3 lads and had no problems with getting in to places.
Nikki Beach as said. Theres also a place called Mansion which was pretty good, and if you want a titty bar, go to Club Madonna. The Clevelander was ok too, which is also on the seafront.
Theres also Mangos on South Beach, that has some interesting 'women'

i sayed in miami beach for 2 nights(collins ave)
didnt like it at all... felt like you have to drive a ferrai and have loads of cash to fit in...
rest of florida was great though...
