Because Chevrolet are owned by GM who own Vaux/Opel and they sell Vaux cars under Chevrolet over there.

Vauxhall Motors is a British company that was bought by GM in the early 20th century. Same with Opel in Europe and other parts of the world.

Vauxhall is a british brand. They don't use it across the world as those markets don't recognise it.
Same with Chevrolet over here. Vauxhall don't have the most amazing rep, but Chevy is even worse despite all being the same running gear.

Everyone over there will have heard of Chevy, no one will have heard of Vauxhall. This will effect sales.

Because Vauxhall is a British company that were bought by Opel many moons ago.
It's basically the same as how Europe have Opel when we have Vauxhall.

Plus cars that you think are Vauxhall probably weren't designed by them.
